Utrikespolitisk filmfest i Göteborg

Här kommer ett sista-minuten-tips inför helgen för alla Göteborgare! Utrikespolitiska föreningen vid Göteborgs Universitet bjuder på Film Festival on A Sustainable World. Helt gratis!

Här är några av filmerna som kommer visas:

~Saturday, March 22~
13:30 – RAFEA: SOLAR MAMA
Rafea is a Bedouin woman who lives with her daughters in one of Jordan’s poorest desert villages on the Iraqi border. She is given a chance to travel to India to attend the Barefoot College, where illiterate grandmothers from around the world are trained in 6 months to be solar engineers.

15:00 – E-WASTELAND
In developing countries, the demand for second-hand electronic equipment is quickly growing, due to an increasing connection to the “global world”, and the inability to afford brand new products. Every year, around 200,000 tonnes of second-hand and condemned electrical goods arrive in Ghana, West Africa, mainly received from the “developed” world.

16:00 – EDIBLE CITY
Edible City is a fun, fast-paced, feature-length documentary journey through the local Good Food movement that’s taking root in the San Francisco Bay Area, across the nation and around the world.

13:30 – THE CHOCOLATE FARMER
The Chocolate Farmer is the story of Eladio Pop, a cacao farmer in a remote district of southern Belize.
